AK-47

A popular assault rifle in CS2, known for its high damage and distinctive skins like the Redline and Fire Serpent.

AWP

Arctic Warfare Police - a sniper rifle famous for one-shot potential and expensive skins like the Dragon Lore.

Affiliate Link

A special tracking link that earns commission for the referrer when users make purchases through it.

B

Battle-Scarred (BS)

The most worn condition category for skins, with float values between 0.45-1.00.

Blue Gem

A Case Hardened skin with predominantly blue coloring, often extremely valuable due to rarity.

Bot Trading

Automated trading systems used by some marketplaces for instant transactions.

C

Case Hardened

A skin finish that creates random blue, gold, and silver patterns, making each skin unique.

Contraband

The rarest skin category, currently only including the M4A4 Howl due to copyright issues.

Covert

The second-highest rarity tier for skins, typically red in color and very valuable.

F

Factory New (FN)

The best condition category for skins, with float values between 0.00-0.07.

Field-Tested (FT)

A middle-tier condition category with float values between 0.15-0.38.

Float Value

A number between 0.00-1.00 that determines a skin's wear condition and appearance.

K

Karambit

A curved knife skin type, one of the most popular and expensive knife varieties in CS2.

KYC

Know Your Customer - identity verification required by many marketplaces for security and compliance.

M

Minimal Wear (MW)

A good condition category for skins, with float values between 0.07-0.15.

Marketplace

A platform where users can buy, sell, and trade CS2 skins and items.

P

Pattern Index

A number that determines the specific pattern variation for skins like Case Hardened.

P2P Trading

Peer-to-peer trading directly between users without marketplace intermediation.

S

StatTrak

A special technology that tracks kills made with the weapon, adding value to skins.

Sticker

Cosmetic items that can be applied to weapons, some extremely valuable like Katowice 2014 stickers.

Steam Guard

Steam's security feature that must be enabled for trading, often requiring 15-day waiting periods.

T

Trade Hold

A security measure that delays trades for up to 15 days when certain conditions aren't met.

Trade-Up Contract

A feature allowing players to exchange 10 skins of one grade for 1 skin of a higher grade.

W

Well-Worn (WW)

A worn condition category for skins, with float values between 0.38-0.45.

Wear Rating

The condition classification of a skin based on its float value (FN, MW, FT, WW, BS).
